Tamari Roasted Nuts Recipe - A hit at LA Market

First Day of LA Market! Stop by for Summer 2012 Collections by Stewart+Brown, Koch, and Prairie Underground. We are located in the Cooper Building in DTLA #320. Also; first peek at Pendleton, The Portland Collection for Fall 2012. Stunning.

I (TCF Agent Ashley) decided to make some special roasted nuts for LA Market this week - and they have been a stellar hit, almost gone in the first day when I feared I made too many!

So I thought I would pass along this easy recipe. Great on a salad, in a lunch box.. or as a gift in a beautiful Mason jar.

Tamari Roasted Nuts

Prep time: 15 minutes

Makes 2 cups

1 cup whole raw almonds

1 cup whole raw cashews

1-2 tablespoons Tamari or shoju

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon ground coriander

Pinch cayenne (optional)

Preheat oven to 300 F. Place nuts on cookie sheet, roast until they give off a nutty aroma and turn golden (10-12 minutes). Mix tamari and spices together. Sprinkle over nuts (I like to shake them in a tupperware to coat evenly). Return to oven for about 3 minutes to dry out. Store in sealed jar.
