A trip to Cabana in Dallas, TX

The irresistible boutique Cabana in Dallas, TX boasts a fantastic pop-up shop featuring the Dallas-made KOCH Collection. The store is beautiful; indie, beachy-chic and most of all - Fabulous! Below are a few photos we snapped on our visit to Cabana while out on the road visiting boutiques in Texas.

An inside look at KOCH

Recently TCF agent Tara and I returned home from a week in Dallas, TX - on the road and at FIG tradeshow. We fell in love with the city - it’s beautiful, so clean, great restaurants and you can’t help but fall in love with that Southern hospitality.

We had the pleasure of visiting Koch’s studio space - where all the magic happens. Alex (pictured above) is Koch’s production manager & also the effortlessly beautiful model for their sp/su 2011 lookbook.  I snapped some photos of the space - patterns, inspiration boards & fabric swatches. The office is in the heart of the up-and-coming Bishop Arts District, where many other creative spaces, art galleries and great little shops & restaurants are located.

The city of Dallas and all the ladies at Koch are simply amazing - We definitely left our hearts in Texas!

Did you know Koch’s Fall 2012 inspiration includes the Joshua Tree, beautiful & ancient camels and Bob Dylan? The new collection was photographed in Detroit, MI - taking on an indie, urban vibe all while retaining Koch’s breezy, boho and luxurious feel. You just can’t help but feel fabulous wearing it. And trust - the Koch ladies are nothing short of super fabulous.

I wanted to share with you one of my all time favorite Bob Dylan songs, “Boots of Spanish leather” off his third album released in 1964, The times they are a changin’. This song just takes me somewhere romantically melancholy yet hopeful; reminiscent of love experienced… and of love lost. Bob Dylan’s work has long inspired me too - TCF is so excited about Koch’s Fall 2012 collection and all of their muses.
